Pamba Mali initiative, has been embraced by the communities around and has provided a lot of support and engagement with the youth and women as well as the older generation.
We will appreciate support to scale up on the ongoing path, and to surmount recent challenges brought about by flooding and the COVID-19 pandemic among others. We would like to;
- Continue with community engagement
- Strengthen linkages with stakeholders
- Upgrade the human resource and technical capacity of the current Pamba Mali team
- Mobilize more resources both human and financial.
Passionate Appeal for Assistance
From the time we started the outreach we have done a lot of community engagement, training, assistance in cash and kind, including support to local schools (uniforms and mentorship), church, bereaved members (maize and a goat or sheep), youth ( support with mentorship and football club balls and uniform) and training in various farming skills. The picture is not a lily pad. Most cotton farms in Nyando get affected with flooding. Livelihoods have been affected and youth are idle which subject them to crime. Much support is needed to leverage the situation and the ecosystem lets join hands in this noble initiative.
