    Achievements
    1. For the first time in many years, farmers are able to grow cotton as cash crop and guaranteed income. Next target is to ensure poverty elimination in subsequent years.
    2. Cotton is intercropped with a variety of grains like sorghum, and the cotton seeds are used for animal feed, thereby ensuring food security for both humans and animals.
    3. Women and the youth are fully involved in all Pambamali activities like cotton seed distribution, collection and fashion show events. Cottage industries formed as a result of the initiative will soon be able to create steady employment
    4. It is a women driven initiative, however, men are also invited for support.

    Our Appeal

From the time we started the outreach we have done a lot of community engagement, training, assistance in cash and kind, including support to local schools (uniforms and mentorship), church, bereaved members (maize and a goat or sheep), youth ( support with mentorship and football club balls and uniform) and training in various farming skills. The above picture is not a lily pad. Most cotton farms in Nyando are now flooded. The situation is pathetic, and has been the case for some time now. Livelihoods have been lost and idle youth are a ticking time bomb. Please get in touch with us and lets join hands in this noble initiative.
